"After all, Justin has his family's support in Yasnia. If we were to argue here, Donovan would have a hard time when he encounters the Parhams over there." Lucas had been pissed, but he calmed down considerably after hearing Xenia mention

Donovan's name.

He said, "If Donovan finds out that that little punk had harassed Noelle, he would definitely go after the Parhams."

Xenia was at a loss for words as she was filled with discomfort. Ultimately, she and Noelle were still treated differently. She also wondered why Lucas was there.

. So, she asked, "Lucas, haven't you been busy? Why do you have time to come and pick us up from school now?"

Lucas discretely glanced at Noelle, but the latter continued to stare out of the car window as if she hadn't heard their conversation. He was immediately unhappy after seeing that Noelle was ignoring him, but he quickly kept his temper in check. After all, he was there to make amends with Noelle.

Lucas said, "I've moved out for some time, so I was curious about how the two of you were doing."

Xenia noticed that Lucas kept staring at Noelle and could guess why he was there. She figured that he probably hadn't found anyone suitable to join his esports team.

Noelle was in a bad mood as she continued to watch the cars pass by through the window.

When she returned to her senses, she realized that she wasn't back at the Liddell residence but at the base of Lucas' team training camp. The place was filled with different pictures and posters of their team.

Noelle did not expect Lucas to bring her here. The second she got out of the car, several people rushed out and surrounded her.

"Congratulations on joining our team!"

"Noelle, could you tell me the secret behind mastering the 12-hit combo?"

Noelle immediately frowned. She had not agreed to join his team.

Lucas took the opportunity to speak out.

Meanwhile, Xenia's mood fell as she watched the scene unfold before her.

"We haven't found a suitable gunner for the team, and Noelle is our best bet. So, I have to ease the tension between us."

Xenia replied, "Lucas, I understand. You don't have to explain anything to me. I was also partially to be blamed for what happened last time.

"I'll apologize alongside you later, too. I hope she can forgive me. Once the whole family is part of the team, I'll do my best to handle logistics and support you!"

Lucas immediately sighed in relief when he saw Xenia's understanding expression. He knew that Xenia wasn't as petty as Noelle, nor did she have such a bad temper compared to the latter. However, Xenia's smile darkened when Lucas left. She slowly returned to her usual self before heading toward the canteen.

Noelle was pushed inside and immediately saw a large banner that read, "Welcome to the Noelle!"

It was only then that she realized that things were horribly wrong. She quickly took out phone and sent Cedric a message. "Could you come pick me up?" She had also sent him her location. Then, Lucas walked up to her, wearing an uncomfortable expression. He said, "I know I was wrong during the repechage. I shouldn't have laid my hands on you.

"During the past few weeks, I have reflected on my actions and am truly remorseful. Hence, I would like to formally apologize to you in front of everybody here. I hope that you will be able to forgive me." Noelle stood rooted in her spot, looking at the banner before her. She found the entire situation just utterly ridiculous.

Her eyes were dark as she slowly lifted her head. It seemed like some people just needed to be taught a lesson!
