No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle and Cedric Chapter 38

Frank also happened to be curious about Noelle and Cedric's relationship. So, he turned to Xenia and told her, "Wait for me outside."

"But Frank-"

"Do as I say!"

Xenia had no choice but to leave.

Frank studied Cedric. It was now clear that Cedric was no ordinary man.

"Where's Noelle?" asked Frank.

"I don't need to answer you," Cedric replied coldly. "But she's under my protection now, so I don't want you guys doing anything to hurt her again before her exams." "Hurt her? I wouldn't hurt my sister! The real question is, what is a doctor like you trying to gain from her?"

Frank's suspicions about Cedric were only deepening.

Cedric's stare was piercing as he curtly said, "That's none of your concern."

"Of course it is. She's my sister."

Frank recalled how Cedric had called the police the last time, forcing Lucas to move out and

keep a distance from Noelle.

With his hands in his pockets, Cedric's eyes had an arrogant glint as he said, "You should be worrying about your fake sister instead. And stop pretending to care about Noelle." Just then, the elevator doors opened, and a middle-aged man stepped out.

Frank immediately told the man, "Mr. Wilcher, there's an unknown guest here." He was trying to use the restaurant manager to uncover Cedric's identity.

The manager nodded respectfully at Cedric before turning to Frank. "Mr. Liddell, I'm afraid to inform you that we're clearing out our vicinity and would need you to leave as well." Frank glanced at Cedric. "What about him?"

"This way, please." The manager avoided the question as a waiter appeared to escort Frank to

the elevator.

Before the doors closed, Frank saw Cedric standing confidently with his back toward him. From the manager's humble posture, it was clear that Cedric was no ordinary school doctor. Inside the elevator, Frank's thoughts turned to Noelle. He had no idea when she started hanging out with people like this.

Frank thought back to her recent changes and wondered if Cedric was the reason she'd found the courage to stand up against the family. The very thought gave him a headache. He was determined to investigate Cedric thoroughly. He needed to move quickly, especially before his ill-tempered eldest brother found out.

Frank pulled out his phone, but Noelle hadn't picked up his calls or responded to his messages.

Upstairs, Noelle watched her brother leave the restaurant and turned to see Cedric calmly making his way over.

"They're gone," he told her.

Noelle was surprised. "How did you do it?" She hadn't believed him earlier when he said that Frank and Xenia would be leaving. After all, this was Aldoria.

Cedric stood before her and said, "I called a friend."

"Your friend must be quite impressive. He has access to the third floor and even got the restaurant to clear their guests out."

Cedric replied nonchalantly, "He's not too bad."

Noelle's mood had lifted. She found herself growing curious about Cedric. "Who's that friend of yours?" There were only a handful of families in Aldoria with such influence. Cedric reluctantly told her, "Someone from Yasnia."

"No wonder, then. He's probably some super-wealthy kid."

Yasnia was where those with power and wealth gathered. Even Donovan spent most of his time building connections there.noveldrama

Yole University also happened to be the most prestigious school in Yasnia.

Noelle studied Cedric with curiosity. "How are you friends with someone so rich? Were you classmates?" She was beginning to doubt if he was just an ordinary school doctor. Chapter 39
