Audrey completely understood Miles's good intentions.

That was why she felt an even deeper pang of sorrow for him.

Audrey thought, 'At eighteen, while others are still seeking affection from their parents, Miles has already learned to think about his entire family.

'How can such a well-behaved kid have to quit school just because of money issues?

'I have missed my chances, but Miles shouldn't have to miss out too.

'I'm determined to give Miles a better life!'

With these thoughts firm in her mind, Audrey said decisively, "Miles, I'm offering to sponsor you, not to help you for nothing!"

Miles furrowed his brows in confusion, wondering, 'What's the difference? Isn't it still spending money on me?'

Audrey added, "After you finish the SAT, you'll have to work for free at my company every holiday. You need to earn back all the money I've spent on you." Hearing this, Miles stayed silent.

With his current abilities, even at Audrey's company, he'd just be doing odd jobs.

There were only a few months of vacation each year. He couldn't earn much. This kind of effort just wasn't worth the payoff.

Yet, looking at Audrey's serious face, Miles couldn't refuse.

He didn't want to let Audrey down, nor was he ready to just give up.

"Alright. I'll promise to do well on the exams," Miles hesitated before continuing. "Even though I intentionally lost some points on the last exam, it's true my basics are weak."

He scratched his head and admitted honestly, "There's not much time before the SAT, and cramming might not help. If I don't make it this year, then so be it."

Audrey smiled confidently and reassured him, "Don't worry about that. I can help you with your studies during this time. We'll fill in the gaps. With more practice and daily reviews, you'll have a strong foundation and definitely be fine." Miles was doubtful about this.

After all, Audrey graduated years ago. Maybe she had forgotten all the important points by now. He wondered if she could really tutor him effectively.

Audrey wasn't the type to delay. She laid out six test papers on the table and said, "Mom hasn't finished cooking yet, so we've got some time. Let's go over the mistakes you made on this test!

"Look at the ones you're completely stuck on, circle them, and try to think them through yourself first. If you're still having trouble, I'll help you out." Miles glanced at the test papers and raised an eyebrow. "Every subject?"

Audrey calmly nodded. "Yes, any problems with that?"

Miles said, "N-No problem. I'll take a look right away."

With Audrey being so serious, Miles couldn't just mess around anymore. He started to seriously review them.

He wasn't strong in math, so he

started there. Right away, he encountered a problem he couldn'tnoveldrama

proceed even after thinking for ages.

Chewing on his pen, Miles finally decided to give in and pushed the paper toward Audrey. "Audrey, this spatial geometry problem is my weakness..."

"Let me see." Audrey pulled the test paper over and pointed to it within seconds, saying, "Try drawing a helping line here."

She didn't give him the answer outright. Instead, she provided a method, encouraging him to solve it on his own.

Following Audrey's advice, Miles drew the helping line and suddenly felt enlightened, slapping his forehead and exclaiming, "Wow, it's that simple!"

He couldn't believe he'd been stuck for so long over something that could be solved with just one extra line.

From then on, whenever Miles faced a question he couldn't answer, Audrey would give him a hint.

No matter how difficult the problem was, once she guided him, it became easy.

Miles was super excited and started solving problems with ease, speeding through them like an expert. Before long, the two of them had completed five sets of practice papers and filled in all the gaps.

Finally, Miles took out the last

physics paper. "Audrey, this physics problem is kind of hard. Even Trevor

couldn't solve it. Take a look first. It's
