My Four Miraculous Treasures

Chapter 34

Tristan was protecting his own dignity, and going in at this moment would only embarrass Tristan more and worsen his mood.

Rachel understood this and sat back down.

Willow comforted the other three children. She held their little hands and made them sit by the dining table.

Then, she said softly, "Don't worry. I won't blame you this time, okay? You went to Hughes Corporation because you were anxious to find your daddy, but there can't be a next time, okay?

"You see, Grandma took you out to play, but you disappeared halfway. That scared Grandma half to death. You got scolded by a bad lady, right? You're still young and can't be independent yet. If you go missing or get hurt by bad people, Mommy and Grandma would blame themselves and be very sad."

After calming the children's emotions, Willow began to reason with them.

Although her children were sensible, they were still just over four years old and didn't quite understand the ways of the world and its dangers.

They needed adults to guide them.

Hailey's eyes were still moist from crying. Though she looked pitiful, she also looked adorable.

She raised her chubby little hand, wiped her eyes, and said childishly, "Mommy, I'll be good. I won't run around again."

Willow gently pressed her hand against Hailey's soft, tender face and smiled. "Hailey, you're the best. Mommy loves you."

"Me too! I also want Mommy's love!" Julian eagerly waved his little hand, vying with the others.

Willow continued to smile and said, "Mommy loves you too."

"And me?" Lilith, who rarely spoke, also joined in.

Willow said, "Of course. Mommy loves you too."

Lilith instantly smiled. She was cool but also a cheerful little girl.

At this point, Lara had already placed all the prepared dishes on the dining table. When she heard that the other party only wanted a three-thousand-dollar compensation, she wiped her tears and went to the kitchen to continue her work. Now, seeing the children snuggling and playing with Willow, and Willow soothing them, she felt her heart warmed.

However, she remained harsh with her words.

She rolled her eyes at Willow and said, "All the kids are more sensible than you. What sins did I commit in my past life to give birth to such a troublemaker like you?" Willow stuck out her tongue behind Lara's back without saying anything.

Rachel felt sorry for Willow and said to Lara, "Lara, Wills is also amazing. When she was in college, she won scholarships every semester. She was a top student." "What's the use of that? Having a degree is all that matters nowadays!"

Lara was frustrated with her daughter for not being ambitious, being too ordinary, and causing her trouble.

After saying this, she went to the kitchen to get bowls and chopsticks.

Rachel looked sympathetically at Willow. Willow smiled and shook her head, indicating she was fine and used to it.

"I'll go call Tris to come out for dinner," Rachel said.

Then, she got up and knocked on the door at the room's entrance.

The door opened, and Tristan's small figure emerged, taking the initiative to sit at the dining table.

He had composed himself, but Willow could tell his eyes were red, a clear sign that he had been crying.

Willow was concerned and asked, "Tris, are you upset? If you have something on your mind, please tell Mommy, okay? Mommy will always love you, no matter what happens." Children's emotions needed to be addressed promptly to keep them maintaining an optimistic outlook on life.

Tristan understood Willow's intentions. He shook his head and said, "Mommy, I'm fine. I just feel that I'm too small and can't help you with your troubles."

His mother worked so hard every day, and he had thought that finding their father would relieve her burden. They had been convinced that Jasper was their dad...noveldrama

But he wasn't.

Upon hearing Tristan's sensible words, Willow's eyes instantly welled up with tears. She was deeply moved by her warm-hearted little boy.

In her past life, she must have saved the galaxy to be blessed with such a heartwarming child.
