My Four Miraculous Treasures

Chapter 20

Edith answered Jasper's question in Willow's stead.

Upon learning that Willow had joined the Hughes Group under the fake identity of Lara Smith, Edith ran a background check on her and even memorized her ID information.

Edith couldn't let Jasper find out that Willow was actually from Nason Village, a small town in Buscen City. Otherwise, the truth would be exposed.

If her lie to Jasper was revealed, she would never be able to win him over.

Willow flashed Jasper a dry smile, and affirmed Edith's answer. "Ms. Price is correct."

Her mother, Lara Smith, was from Bryxton, Janesville. However, her address was in Nason Village because it was where her aunt lived.

When she was a child, her mother took her to her aunt's village, where she was raised. That was why Nason Village was picked as her residential address on her ID, and the reason she took on her uncle's last name. For as long as Willow could remember, her father was never around. Whenever she asked her mother about him, she would react angrily and refuse to disclose his identity.

Having learned that her mother wasn't happy to talk about her father, Willow lost interest in finding out more about her father. Meanwhile, her cousin Samantha was the child of her uncle's brother. Jasper's gaze turned cold.

Janesville?

"So she's not from Nason Village?"

It seemed he had made a mistake.

Jasper was disappointed. When he glanced at Willow again, the anticipation in his eyes had faded away. Instead, it was replaced by disgust. "What are you doing outside my office?"

He found it hard to believe he had fallen victim to her seduction, and made out with her willingly. Naturally, he directed this frustration toward her in the form of anger.

At that moment, Willow remembered seeing Julian in his office and the mess her children made inside. Her face turned pale as a sheet. Guilty and fearful, she explained, "I-I was looking for Mr. Ward." Looking for Tyson?

Hearing that, Jasper's anger was further roused.

Now that she was bored with Dale, she was going after his assistant Tyson, too?! Jasper sneered angrily at her, then turned and walked toward his office.

Willow anxiously caught up with him. Likewise, Edith tensed up when she realized where Jasper was going. She quickly followed him toward the office.

The two rushed forward and attempted to stop him from going further. Alas, he had already pushed the door open.

Willow's heart raced, worried Jasper would catch Julian on the spot. On the other hand, Edith held her breath, expecting her boss to fly into a fit of rage upon seeing the disaster in his office. Willow glanced around the office, and saw no signs of the children. Only then did she remember hearing their voices as they ran past her when she was kissing Jasper.

Julian must have run off with the others just now.

The office was completely trashed. When Edith noticed the change in Jasper's expression, she lowered her head guiltily.

He had always been somewhat of a clean freak. Seeing his office in such a state impacted him so much, his temples throbbed.

Jasper entered his office to inspect the little footprints all over his previously clean sofa. The dirt was black, which stood out even more against the white velvet fabric.

Blood rushed to his head. The veins on his forehead looked like they were about to explode at any second.

He walked up to his desk, where the surface and the documents were all covered in black ink. The trophies lining his cabinet were lying on the floor, and some had shattered into pieces. Anger surged in his heart. He exploded like a volcanic eruption.

"Ms. Price, who did this?!"noveldrama
