Skylar couldn't understand Ruth's behavior. She had just seen Charles, and now here Ruth was, confronting her once again.

Skylar was baffled by Ruth's thought process. Perhaps it was something she had picked up from her upbringing.

She slid her phone back into her bag and looked at Ruth with piercing eyes. "Maybe you should get your brain checked and take your parents along while you're at it."

Despite Ruth's youth, it wasn't an excuse for her misguided worldview. She made mistakes and shifted all the blame to others without any self- reflection—she truly had no moral sense.

Ruth's face flushed with anger. "What nonsense are you talking about? Did you even listen to what I said? I told you it's all your fault. You should compensate me!" she shouted, her voice full of resentment.

Just then, a handsome figure on a motorcycle appeared before them. Caleb took off his helmet and looked down at Ruth with a steady gaze.

He had originally planned to pass through the intersection, but upon seeing Skylar's car, he noticed the woman in front of her. Although he couldn't hear their conversation, it was obvious from Ruth's demeanor that she was being aggressive.

It didn't look like they were catching up. It seemed more like she was looking for trouble.

"Do you need help?" Caleb asked.

Ruth, who was always drawn to handsome men, was momentarily stunned when she saw Caleb. But as soon as she realized he was addressing Skylar, she quickly snapped back to attention.

She realized that this handsome guy knew Skylar. It looked like he treated her well.

"The one who needs help is me. Skylar is so impressive, and she married such an impressive man. What help could she possibly need?" Ruth quickly said.

She wondered if Caleb realized she was the one who was in a disadvantaged position.

Skylar was driving a luxury car while Ruth had to take a cab.

The cab ride there had nearly driven her mad. The driver was an elderly man who barely seemed fit to be behind the wheel, and Ruth was done with it.

Caleb raised an eyebrow as he dismounted from his motorcycle.

"There's nothing going on," Skylar replied to him calmly.

Ruth had been accustomed to a

crowd of admirers and handsome men flattering her wherever she went. But this guy-he was different. He was distant and cold, andshe didn't like it.

She frowned in displeasure. "Of course, I have business with her. We have a lot to talk about. As for what it's about, that's none of your concern. But I'm curious, what's your relationship with Skylar?"

Her thoughts raced to all the older women who kept younger men around for their attention. She wondered if Caleb was one of Skylar's boy toys. Their relationship seemed so good.

She never expected that coming to see Skylar today would lead to such a surprising discovery. This was Skylar's Achilles' heel, and Skylar was afraid that Joe would find out.
