Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)

Chapter 3466 Snooping

As the inheritance ceremony of the governor gradually concluded, Allyson returned to the Governor's Keep. The crowd outside dispersed immediately. It was just too terrifying here.

Some started recalling the words the bald man had said to them about democracy, igniting anger in them so intense they could barely contain themselves.

Is this your so-called democracy? A group of people left indignantly, ready to stir up trouble? Brothers, we all support you with our thoughts.

Inside the Governor's Keep, Matthew, Bram, and Allyson sat at a table.

"Mr. Larden, now that the inheritance ceremony is over, what's our next step?" Allyson said, her gaze on Matthew.

Bram, too, turned to focus on Matthew.

"We should now leverage the island's greatest strength. The West Montiria Islands' biggest advantage is its lack of rules, which ironically, is actually its biggest rule. Our next move is to merge the three docks together and build the largest harbor in the region." Both Allyson and Bram nodded, understanding the plan without needing further elaboration from Matthew.

"By the way, Mr. Roth, several dozen tons of goods were robbed at sea a few days ago. Have you heard anything about it?" Matthew softly asked, his gaze on Bram.

Up until now, Matthew had no information on where the Marine Corps' stolen goods were. He only knew that the Medusa Gang was involved in the robbery.

Bram's eyes flickered with a hint of recollection before he replied to Matthew.

"Mr. Larden, I've heard little about this. It's said that the goods belonged to the Virtue Hall of the Marine Corps but were brazenly seized. The waters here are murky; I wouldn't recommend getting involved."

Matthew nodded silently. Robbing the Marine Corps was no small feat, the suspected culprits were definitely no ordinary criminals. Bram's lack of information was understandable.

"However, shortly after the robbery,

Shaun Mendoza of the Viper Crew went from living modestly to

suddenly leading an extravagantet

lifestyle. There are rumors that he might know something about the robbery."

The Viper Crew? Matthew frowned slightly. "What kind of force are they?" Bram retrieved a file from a nearby shelf and laid it on the table.

"The Viper Crew is a large and influential criminal syndicate. They frequently cause trouble along the west coast for no apparent reason. According to our intel, their base is located in Concord, and they've even infiltrated local political affairs."

Matthew's expression darkened with thought. The web of forces involved in the hijacked shipment was becoming increasingly intricate.

"Let's leave it at that for tonight. I have some matters to attend to," he said to the two as he rose from his seat, then turned and left the Governor's Keep.

The moon was obscured by thick clouds, casting the earth into impenetrable darkness. As Matthew walked on cobblestone streets, his face was devoid of emotion.

"How much longer will you follownoveldrama

me?" he murmured suddenly, his lips

opening slightly. The street was

empty, it appeared as though he was talking to himself. Anyone

watching might have thought him

mad.

"If you don't show yourself soon, I'll leave," Matthew added, his gaze fixed on a distant tree. A cold glint flashed in his gaze.

He had sensed someone watching him during the ceremony and left the Governor's Keep to draw them out. His eyes remained fixed on the distant tree, unwavering and unmoving. Moments later, a voice finally emerged from the shadows.

"Impressive, Mr. Larden. Truly impressive."
