Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir)

The predawn light filtered through the forest, casting long shadows over the dense underbrush. Fenrir crouched near a rocky outcrop, his trackers fanned out behind him. The tension in the air was palpable, every wolf in his group poised for action. Nathan approached, his steps careful, his expression unreadable. "The scouts report heavy patrols along Cassian's borders," he said quietly. "They're prepared for us."noveldrama

Fenrir's lips curled into a grim smile. "Of course, they are. Cassian's no fool."

Nathan hesitated. "We're outnumbered, Alpha. His pack won't hesitate to defend their territory."

"I didn't come here to fight his pack," Fenrir growled. "I came for Aurora. And I'll get her back."

Nathan's eyes flickered with doubt, but he nodded. "We'll follow your lead."

Fenrir turned back toward the forest, his gaze fixed on the faint glimmers of light marking Cassian's central grounds. "Stay sharp. We move when the sun rises."

In the pack's central grounds, Cassian stood near the perimeter, his arms crossed as he surveyed the defenses. Wolves patrolled the borders in pairs, their sharp eyes scanning the forest for any sign of movement. Nathan, Cassian's trusted Beta, joined him, his expression tense. "Fenrir's group hasn't crossed yet, but they're close. The scouts spotted them less than a mile from the northern ridge."

Cassian nodded, his jaw tightening. "He's waiting for the right moment. He knows we're watching."

Nathan hesitated. "And if he does cross?"

"We hold the line," Cassian said firmly. "Fenrir has no claim here-not on this pack, and not on Aurora."

Nathan glanced toward the cottages on the far side of the grounds. "Have you spoken to her?"

Cassian's gaze softened for a moment before hardening again. "She knows the situation. She's staying inside, where it's safe."

Nathan nodded, though the unease in his eyes remained.

Aurora sat by the window of the cottage, her hands clasped tightly in her lap. Lila was beside her, knitting quietly, though the tension in the room was palpable. "They're out there, aren't they?" Aurora asked softly.
