Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 920: Mia Causes Trouble Again

The Supreme Commander stood in the room, watching the surveillance footage. His gaze was deep and inscrutable as he dialed the number again.

The call was answered, but the woman on the other end was still brimming with anger.

The Supreme Commander toyed with a ring in his hand and said in a low voice, "No matter how angry you are, it was your people who slipped up. If they hadn't exposed themselves, they wouldn't have been discovered." The woman knew she was in the wrong and forced herself to calm down.

"What do we do now?" The man's tone was tinged with displeasure-it was clear that this place still held value for him, and its potential had yet to be fully realized.

"First, relocate anything that can be moved. For what can't, speed up the process. Ideally, the plan should be completed within a week."

The man let out a faint hum of acknowledgment as he rotated the ring, revealing a sharp blade that sliced into his finger. A bead of blood emerged.

The woman added coldly, "If it can't be salvaged, destroy it."

His pupils gleamed with a bloodthirsty light. Destroy it? He had no time to help her rebuild from scratch.

As the door swung shut, Jared's long, strong hand closed it behind him. He raised a hand to switch off the lights in the villa, leaving only a crescent moon hanging in the sky. The pale moonlight spilled into the room, casting a soft glow. Tina stood by the entrance, her slender, fair hands wrapping around Jared's firm waist. Her eyes shimmered with desire.

Jared reached out to stroke her cheek. Unable to resist, he placed a gentle kiss on the side of her face. The heat in his body began to rise.

Gradually, his kisses moved to her lips. His restraint broke as his tongue pressed against hers, the sensation of being bitten sending his reason into chaos. Tina's delicate body softened as her arms clung more tightly around him, their kisses growing increasingly passionate.

Jared's long fingers traced the hem of her clothing. Tina's cheeks flushed red, her face burning with heat as a faint current coursed through her body, leaving her breathless.

He scooped her up in his arms and placed her on the marble cabinet by the door. The cold surface sent a shiver through her, while the intensity of Jared's presence deepened, causing her thoughts to scatter.

---

When Tina woke up, Jared's arms were wrapped firmly around her waist. She was completely bare. Her face turned crimson in an instant as she unconsciously licked her dry lips.

Picking up the phone on the bedside table, she noticed a string of missed calls. Forty in total-thirty from Ruud, five from Brandon, and the remaining five from Jayden and his subordinates. When Jayden couldn't reach her, he'd resorted to texting. Tina's eyes narrowed as she scanned the messages.

She hesitated, debating whether to get out of bed, but she didn't want to wake Uncle.

Her eyes shimmered as she studied Jared's flawless face. For the first time, she found herself waking up before him. Usually, when she awoke, Jared would already be propped up on his elbow, watching her.

As Uncle would put it, he was "admiring her sleeping face." Now, Tina found herself doing the same.

The longer she looked, the more entranced she became. Finally, she nestled closer to Jared's chest, like a clingy little kitten.noveldrama

Jared's chest vibrated slightly as she lay against him. Tina opened her eyes to find herself resting on top of him. The man revealed his toned abs, smiling in a way that was both alluring and smug.

Seeing him awake, Tina sat up and poked his chest with her finger. "You're awake. Why were you pretending to sleep?"

Jared's magnetic voice sounded. "I wasn't pretending. You lying on me just tickled a bit. And you're completely bare."

At those last four words, his voice dropped, filled with a husky undertone. Tina's cheeks burned.

Quickly, she grabbed a nightgown from Jared's wardrobe and threw it on, her steps hurried as she fled to the bathroom. Jared propped his hand against his lips, chuckling as he watched her retreating figure. When Tina emerged, Jared was entering the bathroom. She spoke casually, "I need to go to the Pace family this morning. Ruud called me several times."

It wasn't that she particularly cared about Ruud, but out of respect for her mother. After all, her mom was hopelessly romantic.

Jared's voice echoed from the bathroom amidst the sound of running water. "Tina, I'll go with you."

Tina's eyes sparkled with mischief as she smiled. "Aren't you afraid he'll get mad and come at you with a knife?"

"No. Not with you there," Jared replied coolly, his voice cutting through the sound of the water.

Tina walked to Jared's other wardrobe, which was filled with women's clothing he'd prepared for her-seasonal pieces and haute couture.

She casually grabbed a dress, slipped it on, and let her hair fall naturally over her shoulders. "I'll go alone. You should investigate that village in the north." Jared sighed softly. "Fine. I'll handle it quickly. I'll drop you off on the way."

By the time he finished speaking, Tina was already at the door. "Uncle, investigate thoroughly. I'm off."

When Tina arrived at the Pace family estate, she walked straight into the grand hall.

By chance, she encountered Mia and Boris sitting on the sofa, listening to opera.

Tina smirked. She doubted they were genuinely enjoying the performance-both pairs of eyes were glued to her.

Mia's sharp gaze bore into her, different from her usual look of disdain.

Tina's eyes narrowed slightly before she turned toward the stairs.

"Stop!" A furious shout rang out behind her. Mia stood up, her anger boiling over as she called out to Tina, as if she'd committed some grave offense. Tina's face remained calm and indifferent as though she hadn't heard a thing. She continued up the stairs.

Suddenly, Mia, seeing Tina ignore her, burned with rage. Grabbing a blue-and-white porcelain teacup from the table, she hurled it at Tina.

The cup still held freshly brewed hot tea. Tina sidestepped, but the porcelain shattered against the wall with a crisp sound, shards scattering everywhere.

Because of the staircase's limitations, Tina wasn't able to dodge entirely. Sharp fragments from the cup grazed her skin, leaving a thin cut on her cheek that began to bleed. Against her pale, delicate face, the wound was particularly striking. Even the scalding tea splashed onto her clothes and hair.

Tina's gaze turned icy in an instant. A chilling aura of menace filled the air as she stood on the stairs, looking down at Mia. She descended step by step, each movement radiating cold fury.

Mia, seeing Tina approach, glared back with malice and spat venomously, "Where were you last night? Yesterday was your parents' wedding anniversary, and you ran off with Jared without a word! Do you have any respect for them?"

Tina stopped in front of Mia, her gaze piercingly cold, exuding an aura of merciless lethality. Without a word, she moved swiftly, her hand reaching out to grip Mia's neck.
