After the Secret Wedding Rise of My Queen

Chapter 310

Chapter 310 Isabel Gives Richie Candy

Richie, not wanting to make things difficult for Isabel, agreed to let the assistant stay.

"Sit down first. I'll take your pulse," Isabel said, looking at Richie.

"Okay." Richie nodded and sat down in front of Isabel.

Isabel checked his pulse, and the office immediately fell silent.

From the moment Richie entered, his gaze remained fixed on Isabel, his mind drifting back to the scene that had just unfolded.

Isabel sat at her computer, typing swiftly on the keyboard...

"Your condition" Isabel looked up, and immediately met Richie's intense gaze.

"W-what's wrong?"

Richie withdrew his hand, frowned, and after a brief moment of silence, he spoke, "I just looked at you and thought of someone."

Upon hearing this, Isabel slightly parted her lips.

"Who?" she asked, though she had a pretty good idea of who he meant.

Richie stood up and moved toward the window, looking out into the distance.

"She was the most important person in my life ..."

Isabel followed him, standing beside him for a moment before turning her gaze to the view outside.

"Leslie?"

Richie nodded.

"When I saw how good your memory was just now, it reminded me of when I was younger. She was exactly the same. Her memory was incredible, and she picked up things so quickly." Isabel caught a glimpse of Richie smiling, and her own lips curved up in response.

She also recalled a childhood memory-tearing up Richie's notebook and folding the pieces into a little boat.

Later, when she got caught, she rewrote everything and returned it to Richie.

Thinking back, it seemed Richie had never once blamed her for it.

Just as Isabel was lost in thought, Richie turned to look at her.

"Did you acquire that candy factory?" he asked, something he'd been meaning to ask for a while but never found the right moment.

"How did you know?" Isabel asked, her tone tinged with confusion.

Richie took a slightly worn candy wrapper out of his pocket.

"This is the candy Leslie gave me when I first arrived at the Nelson Residence," he said.

Isabel stared at the wrapper in Richie's hand, her eyes wide. She didn't have a clear memory of it, but she vaguely remembered giving Richie candy once. Twenty years!

He'd kept it all this time!

"She's my little angel, a ray of

sunshine in my life. Without her, I don't know how I would have made it through the darkness of losing both my parents," Richie said, his voice soft with nostalgia, a warm and contented smile spreading across his face.

Isabel felt a pang in her chest as she watched him, and an indescribable emotion stirred in her heart.

It was painful ...

So painful that Isabel felt an urge to reach out and hug Richie.

"Not long ago, I noticed these

candies were becoming harder to find. I assumed the manufacturer might be planning to stop production. I had someone look into it, and was told the factory making these candies had already been acquired. That's when I wondered if it was you who bought it, Richie said, looking at Isabel as he spoke.

Isabel smiled faintly, then reached into her pocket and placed a candy into Richie's palm.

"If you ever want more of these candies, just let me know. No charge, take as many as you want."noveldrama

Richie stared at the candy resting in his hand, his pupils flickering, his expression shifting. For a moment, it was as if he had been transported back in time, 20 years ago. When Leslie gave him the candy...

Richie slowly lifted his gaze, meeting

Isabel's faintly smiling face. Sunlight streamed through the window, casting a soft glow on her features, as if she were enveloped in a warm, radiant light.

She seemed to shine, both warm and intense.

"Leslie..."
